We believe you deserve compassion, truthful guidance, and steady support during this time. No matter where you are in your journey, we’re here to walk with you as you prayerfully and thoughtfully explore your options. Below are answers to questions many women ask when considering adoption.

  • Yes. You are not alone, and you do not have to have everything figured out right now. We’re here to listen, answer your questions, and support you as you explore your options. Whether you choose adoption or not, we believe every woman deserves compassion, honesty, and care.

  • No. Adoption is never rushed or forced. You can take time to learn about your options, ask questions, and make the decision that feels right for you. We support you at your pace and respect your right to change your mind.

  • Yes. If you choose adoption, you will be able to review our adoptive family profiles here and choose the family you feel is the best fit for your child. Many birth mothers find peace in knowing who will be raising their baby and what kind of life they will have.

  • Open adoption allows you to have ongoing contact with the adoptive family, which may include letters, photos, phone calls, or visits. The level of openness is always discussed ahead of time and agreed upon by everyone involved.

  • We help you create an Openness Agreement, which includes conversation with the adoptive parents. Ongoing contact is discussed during this process.

  • Yes. Adoption decisions are deeply personal, and you have the legal right to change your mind within the timeframe allowed by state law. We will explain your rights clearly and support you no matter what you decide.

  • We provide emotional support, counseling, and spiritual encouragement, along with help coordinating medical care and pregnancy-related expenses as allowed by law. Our team walks with you every step of the way so you never feel alone.

  • No. Adoption does not cost birth mothers anything. Your medical expenses, counseling, and certain living expenses may be covered depending on your situation and state laws.

  • No. While we are a Christian adoption agency, you do not have to be a Christian to receive support or choose adoption through our agency. We serve every woman with respect, dignity, and compassion.

  • No. Adoption should always be a voluntary and informed decision. Our role is to support you, provide accurate information, and help you understand your options—never to pressure or persuade you.

  • Every situation is different. We can help explain how a birth father’s rights and involvement are handled according to state law and support you through those conversations when possible.

  • Yes. Counseling is available before and after placement to help you process your emotions, ask questions, and receive support. Your well-being matters during pregnancy and beyond.

  • After finalization, any agreed-upon contact with the adoptive family continues according to your adoption plan. We also remain available as a resource and support system for you moving forward.

  • Our support doesn’t end when the adoption is complete. If you wish, we can connect you to a supportive community of others who have walked the same path. We’ll also invite you to join our annual Fireweed Retreat: the only Christ-centered retreat nationwide, welcoming all birth moms.

  • Many birth mothers choose adoption out of deep love and a desire to give their child the best possible future. We’ll be there with you as you turn a difficult situation into the most beautiful thing you've ever done.
