Eric and Magalie
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and our family. We have felt called to adopt for many years now and would love to grow our family through adoption. We can't begin to imagine what you are walking through right now, but we are praying that God fills you with peace, guidance, and strength as you consider the path He has prepared for your child. We hope these pages give you a glimpse into our lives and the love that fills our home.
Meet Magalie:
As of last year I am a fulltime stay at home mom. Prior to that, I taught special needs preschool for 8 years. Some of my favorite things to do include working out, spending time outside on long walks or playing with our daughters, reading fiction (particularly mystery), and hosting friends and family.
Magalie through Eric's eyes:
Magalie has the gift of hospitality and loves hosting showers for friends and playdates with other moms. She keeps our house super organized and tidy and I am very thankful for her love for the Lord and intentionality with our children.
Meet Eric:
I am a director of Finance for a packaging company and have been in the field for 10 years. I enjoy staying physically fit and doing so with close friends through CrossFit. I love sitting around a fire with good friends and love reading books and experiencing new stories and characters, some of my favorite authors are Stephen King & Brandon Sanderson. I love the early morning as it is my time to enjoy excellent coffee and start the day off in the quiet spending time with God.
Eric through Magalie's eyes:
Eric makes it a point to lead our family in the Lord and seek Him first in everything. I am very proud to be his wife and admire his work ethic and how he makes family and friends a priority. He is also a great cook and is always willing to help around the house.
Us as a Couple:
We were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend (who now happens to be our pastor) and the rest was history! We dated for a year, were engaged for a year, and got married in 2017. Our daughters were born in 2020 and 2023. We make a point to schedule regular date nights and make sure to have time to chat about our day without distractions. We also go away together without our kids at least once a year for a long weekend. Shared dreams for our future include having a family who knows and loves the Lord and cares for each other well. We hope to have a family who is focused on being present instead of addicted to technology and a family who prioritizes rest and celebration.
Our Daughters:
We have two daughters, Addie and Eliza. Addie is almost 5 years old and is very complimentary, social, creative, loves books, crafts, building with blocks, and riding her scooter. Eliza is 2 1/2 years old and is spunky, athletic, snuggly, loves singing, and riding her scooter. The two of them have become great friends and it is a joy to watch them play together!
A Little More About Us:
We very much value community and spend a lot of time with friends and family. We have two families we've grown close with that we do monthly dinners with which is truly one of the things we look most forward to on our calendar. We also spend lots of time with our neighbors who have been such a gift to us and our children. We have family close by that we see on a monthly basis. We love to travel and go to Lake Tahoe and Hocking Hills each summer with friends! We also have family that lives in Florida and visit them a few times a year.
